The City of O'Fallon is hiring a Full-Time Emergency Communications Officer – Dispatcher for an onsite role focused on public safety. You will operate a two-way radio, dispatch officers, and coordinate with multiple agencies during emergencies to ensure rapid and appropriate response.

You will handle 911 calls and non-emergency inquiries, maintain critical data systems, and contribute to accurate reports and testimony.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency communications or dispatch is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and coordinate with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a two-way radio and dispatch officers and first responders during emergencies.
• Assist with 911 and non-emergency calls and provide essential information to field personnel.
• Monitor surveillance and weather conditions and maintain accurate records and warrants.
