Job summary

The City of Ocala is seeking a skilled Emergency Communications Dispatcher to answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and to support dispatch peers. You will work under the 911 Shift Supervisor and interact with police, fire, and public safety partners.

Strong communication, calm under pressure, and proficiency with CAD/CIS systems are essential. Responsibilities include reading maps, managing multiple screens, and providing accurate information to citizens.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Two years' related experience and/or training preferred.
• Experience in customer relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls using 9-1-1 and related lines.
• Operate multiple computer systems and monitor several CRTs simultaneously.
• Support dispatch peers and assist the 911 Shift Supervisor.
