Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Typing certificate (minimum 40 WPM). Post Basic Dispatch Certificate within 1 year.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency calls for police, fire, medical or other emergencies.
• Dispatch police, fire, ambulance or other appropriate assistance per procedures.
• Monitor status of officers and other agencies; relay information to field units.
• Enter and retrieve data from automated law enforcement information systems.
• Maintain logs, records and provide clear reports.
