Job summary

Augusta University Police Department seeks a skilled dispatcher to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, assess urgency, and coordinate responders across campus. You will use CAD, NCIC/GCIC, and Banner systems to enter, view, and retrieve critical data.

Responsibilities include securing areas, documenting incidents, and ensuring communications follow policy. Strong confidentiality and communication are essential. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accredited organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and effective communication.
• Familiarity with police dispatch systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency requests for police assistance and determine urgency.
• Enter and retrieve information from CAD, NCIC/GCIC, and Banner systems.
• Follow policies when handling calls and secure areas as needed.
• Promote a customer-friendly environment and support campus safety.
