Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring an ED Tech for the Southside Freestanding Emergency Department. The role provides direct patient care under RN guidance, assisting with vital signs, lab draws, ECGs, wound care and other unit duties to support safe, high-quality emergency care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and preferably an Advanced EMT (AEMT) certification. Experience in an ED setting is valued and the position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AEMT certification or training is preferred.
• Current AEMT certification is required if employed in SC per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Performs basic patient care tasks including vital signs, hygiene, mobility support, and lab/ECG procedures.
• Maintains accurate documentation and participates in patient handoffs.
