Job summary

Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and effective unit coordination during shifts. The CNC collaborates with management, directs nursing care, and serves as a resource for staff to support clinical outcomes and organizational mission.

Qualifications

• RN license required (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support/APL SPT? (ACLS) expectations listed
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 6 months
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days
• STABLE within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months
• 1 year experience in ED as an RN
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred with 3 years healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork environment for improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds).
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, training, and development of staff.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

Education

Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
