Job summary

Corewell Health in Farmington Hills is seeking staff for an Observer role within the infusion care unit. You will provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, assist with safe transport and clerical tasks to keep the unit running smoothly.

The position includes observer duties for constant patient monitoring, with documentation in the electronic medical record and light reception/clerical work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under RN direction.
• Ensure safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support nursing unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
