Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Previous experience in behavioral health or related healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate support to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Monitor patient mood, behavior, and condition; document changes.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other observations as directed.
• Communicate significant changes to the clinical team promptly.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and assist with non-clinical care as needed.
• Follow de-escalation techniques and maintain professional boundaries.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
