Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; pass hearing test and background check.
• Typing 40 wpm and proficiency with PC and software applications.
• Psychological evaluation and CJIN/NCIC certification required.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass an interview.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and texts; dispatch first responders by radio, page, or phone.
• Provide EMS dispatch instructions and prioritize incidents per policy.
• Operate dispatch systems and maintain logs and records per procedure.
• Work in a team environment and maintain professional communication at all times.
• Identify and handle confidential records and coordinate with agencies as needed.
