Job summary

Nova Space Solutions, LLC is seeking an HVAC/R technician at Stennis Space Center, MS. You will install, service, and repair heating and cooling systems in commercial and residential settings, troubleshooting complex HVAC&R equipment and maintaining EMCS interfaces.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, an Associate degree in HVAC/R or 4 years related experience, EPA Universal Certification, and experience with building automation systems.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; Associate degree in HVAC/R preferred, or four years related experience in lieu of degree.
• EPA Universal Certification Card as required by EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F.
• Minimum four years of operation, maintenance or repair of HVAC&R facility systems.
• Experience with building automation systems and direct digital controls (DDC).
• Proficiency with basic computer workstations and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Applies industry standards and site safety/environmental procedures while performing HVAC&R operations, maintenance and minor modifications.
• Uses work orders and CMMS to document preventive, corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Monitors HVAC&R equipment using interface devices and reports anomalies for proper operation.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and tests to ensure correct sequence of operation.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots system sequences of operation for various HVAC&R systems.
• Interacts with management and shop personnel to resolve sensor, microprocessor and gateway issues.
• Supports 24/7 operation of EMCS/HVAC&R by responding to after-hour calls.
• Attends safety and environmental training and uses PPE and HVAC tools accordingly.
