Nissan is hiring an EMC Technician 3 in Farmington Hills, MI to join the Lab Operations team. The role involves setting up and conducting EMC tests, evaluating emissions and immunity, and working closely with engineers to optimize performance.

An associate degree in an automotive discipline and 4 years of test technician experience are preferred, with higher experience considered in lieu of the degree. Onsite full-time role with up to 20% travel, routine use of spectrum analyzers, vector network

Qualifications

Associate degree in automotive discipline preferred plus 4 years of Test Technician experience; 8 years in lieu of degree.
Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems and circuits.
Knowledge of emissions, immunity, and electro-magnetic ESD testing.
Capable of using EMC-related tools including vector network analyzer and spectrum analyzer.
Able to quickly learn new procedures and test equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; work with autonomy.
Motor Vehicle Report may be required; travel up to 20%.
Desirable: test automation, root cause analysis, AI tool knowledge, Nexio EMC Software; LabVIEW.

Responsabilités

Set up and conduct EMC/Radio noise testing at vehicle level.
Evaluate and execute complex test plans for emissions, immunity, and durability.
Operate and maintain testing equipment to deliver accurate data.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose issues and optimize performance.
