Job summary

Google is seeking an EMC Test Engineer for Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, CA. You will ensure complex hardware complies with global EMC/RF standards across the development life cycle.

Responsibilities include developing and executing full test plans, leading EUT bring-up with firmware and lab teams, and performing root-cause analysis to recommend shielding, grounding, or PCB layout mitigations. Collaboration across design and external labs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in EE/CS/physics or related fields.
• 2 years in a hardware testing environment.
• 2 years in EMC/EMI testing or hardware validation.
• Experience developing EMC/EMI test plans.
• Root-cause analysis with mitigation recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute full EMC test plans for NPI hardware.
• Lead offline bring-up for EUTs with firmware and lab teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis on compliance failures.
• Drive EMC/ESD qualification for high-speed components.
• Author SOPs and expand lab capabilities.
