Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to perform electrical product testing under supervision, progressing toward independent testing after training. You will configure tests, operate equipment, collect data, and communicate results to staff and sometimes customers.

No prior EMC lab experience is required; position emphasizes attention to detail, motivation, and teamwork in a full-time, on-site lab setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in electronics or a related field.
• Basic electrical/electronic knowledge required.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of electrical and electronic products.
• Operate test systems and instrumentation after training.
• Document testing configurations, results and observations.
• Monitor tests and identify abnormal conditions or faults.
• Collaborate with engineers and project personnel on testing setup.
