Job summary

Miami Mixed Media in Miami is seeking an Embroidery Production Assistant with no experience required and a readiness to learn. You'll train on professional embroidery equipment and join a hands-on production team that makes hats, jerseys, jackets, and apparel.

This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities. We value a quick learner, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Spanish-speaking is required.

We’re looking for the next person to join the Miami Mixed Media production team.

Have you ever wondered how logos, artwork, names, and designs actually get embroidered onto hats, jackets, jerseys, and apparel?

This is your chance to learn.

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, quick to learn, hands on, and excited to develop a new skill. You donot need previous embroidery experience. If you have the right attitude and are willing to learn, our team will teach you.

At Miami Mixed Media, you’ll work inside a real production environment wherefashion, art, brands, music, sports, and manufacturing all come together under one roof.

One day you might be helping produce embroidered hats for a brand. The next, you could be working on jerseys, jackets, appliqué, custom pieces, or thousands of garments for a large production order.

No two days are exactly the same.

About the Role

This is ahands on production position.

You’ll work directly alongside our experienced embroidery operators and production team, learning the embroidery process from the ground up while helping keep daily orders organized and moving through production.

We don't expect you to walk in knowing everything.

We do expect you to come in ready to work, pay attention, ask questions, follow instructions, and get better every day.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll receive hands-on training in:

  • How professionalcommercial embroidery machineswork
  • How to prepare and properlyhoop garments and hats
  • How different backings, threads, needles, and materials are used
  • How to load embroidery designs and prepare machines for production
  • How to identify correctplacement, alignment, colors, and stitch quality
  • How to change threads and prepare machines between jobs
  • How large embroidery orders move through a professional production shop
  • How to recognize common embroidery problems before they become costly mistakes
  • Basic machine care and maintenance
  • How appliqué and other specialty embroidery techniques are produced
  • How to organize garments and completed orders throughout the production process

As your skills improve, you'll have the opportunity to beginoperating commercial embroidery machines yourself and taking on more responsibility within the department.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

While you're learning, you'll help our embroidery team with:

  • Preparing garments for embroidery
  • Hooping and unhooping garments
  • Organizing garments by order, size, color, and design
  • Preparing thread, backing, and other materials
  • Trimming and cleaning finished embroidery
  • Checking finished pieces for quality
  • Folding, counting, and organizing completed garments
  • Keeping machines and production areas clean and organized
  • Helping operators load and unload production
  • Following instructions from embroidery leads, managers, and supervisors
  • Helping wherever needed to keep production moving efficiently

No embroidery experience is required.

Spanish-speaking is required.
