Job summary

Stitch Golf is seeking an Embroidery Operator to run commercial embroidery machines, load designs, hoop garments, and verify placement and color accuracy according to order specs. You will move materials, monitor quality, and maintain order integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with production teams. Benefits after 30 days; 401k eligibility after 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Previous embroidery, sewing, or production-equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve staged orders and products from the designated Production staging area.
  • Safely move pallets, carts, boxes, and production materials into the Production room.
  • Verify that staged products, quantities, artwork, thread colors, placement instructions, and other order specifications are complete before beginning production.
  • Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines according to established production procedures.
  • Load embroidery designs and select the appropriate machine settings for each production order.
  • Hoop and position products accurately to ensure proper embroidery placement.
  • Select, load, and change thread colors based on approved order specifications.
  • Install and replace needles, bobbins, backing, and other production materials as required.
  • Perform test runs or sew-outs when required to verify design quality, placement, sizing, and thread color.
  • Monitor embroidery machines throughout the production process to identify thread breaks, needle breaks, registration issues, design defects, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Inspect embroidered products for accuracy, consistency, and overall workmanship.
  • Separate and report damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced items to the Production Manager.
  • Maintain order integrity by keeping products, paperwork, and production components together throughout the embroidery process.
  • Record completed quantities, production issues, damaged units, and other required information accurately.
  • Place completed orders in the appropriate designated area for finishing, quality inspection, or the next stage of production.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on embroidery machines and related equipment.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe Production area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and quality standards.
  • Communicate product shortages, order discrepancies, equipment issues, and production delays to the Production Manager promptly.
  • Assist with other production-related responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Position Summary

The Embroidery Operator is responsible for operating commercial embroidery equipment to accurately produce decorated products according to customer order specifications and Stitch Golf quality standards. This position retrieves staged orders and products provided by the Picking team, moves pallets and materials into the Production area, prepares the embroidery equipment, and completes assigned production work accurately and efficiently. The Embroidery Operator monitors product quality throughout the embroidery process, identifies production issues, maintains accurate order organization, and ensures completed products are properly prepared for the next step in the production workflow. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment

This position operates within a warehouse and production environment and regularly works around embroidery machines, moving equipment, pallets, carts, inventory, and other production activity. The Embroidery Operator is expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate. This position is eligible for benefits after 30 days of service and our 401k plan after 90 days of service.

  • Ability to move loaded carts and pallets between the Production staging area and Production room.
  • Ability to use pallet-moving equipment after receiving the required training and authorization.
  • Ability to visually inspect detailed embroidery work for quality, placement, and consistency.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.
