Job summary

Lakeshirts, inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Material Handler (kitter) under the Embroidery Supervisor to gather supplies for Embroidery Machine Operators. You will select thread, foil fabric, assign orders, and retrieve threads after completion.

This role supports workflow, collaborates with the Digitizing Department and Rep Coordinator, and handles rush orders. Schedule is Mon-Thu 4:00pm-2:00am with a wage of $17/hr and physical requirements including lifting 30-50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school education is desirable, but not required.
• Have good spelling skills as well as problem solving skills.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
• Must be reliable, responsible, organized, flexible and take direction well.
• Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and follow through on questions or issues as they arise.
• Previous production experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves threads, foils fabric and prints instructions for each order.
• Delivers order to machine operator
• Adjusts daily workflow according to supervisor's instructions
• Print out templates for screen appliqué orders
• Communicate effectively with other departments when needed
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. continuously
• Other duties as assigned including special projects
