Job summary

Paradigm Nat'l is seeking a Wireless Connectivity Software Engineer – Automotive to develop embedded WiFi software for vehicle platforms. The role emphasizes WiFi/802.11, network management, and tight integration with wireless hardware and software stacks.

You will collaborate across Infotainment, Platform, Security, and Hardware teams to deliver a scalable connectivity platform. You will engage in low-level driver interaction, debugging with logs and OTA data, and contribute to unit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of WiFi and IEEE 802.11 protocols.
• Demonstrated proficiency developing software in modern C++.
• Solid understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities, with the ability to investigate complex technical problems from fundamental principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support embedded software responsible for WiFi connectivity, configuration, and connection management within vehicle systems.
• Build and maintain WiFi Station (STA) functionality to support reliable, high-speed vehicle internet connectivity for OTA software updates and connected vehicle functionality.
• Develop WiFi Access Point (AP) capabilities supporting vehicle hotspot functionality and wireless CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.
• Implement and support advanced IEEE 802.11 capabilities across automotive WiFi systems.
• Develop and improve connectivity logic and algorithms for network selection, roaming, and concurrent STA/AP operation.
• Architect modular software supporting multiple WiFi chipsets and vendors; integrate drivers, firmware, and SDKs.
