Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking an engineer to contribute to advanced vehicle control functions and integration of cross-domain systems. The role involves building and maintaining ego test vehicles, developing simulations, and evaluating ECU/actuator algorithms within a real-time environment.

You will collaborate across BU engineering teams to tailor software-defined mobility solutions for specific network requirements and test scenarios, while documenting configurations and results in formal reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to construct test vehicles and design power/communication/signal architecture.
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate ECU/actuator algorithms embedded in the vehicle.
• Programming skills in C and Simulink; C++ and Python preferred.
• Knowledge of in-vehicle sensors (GPS, IMU, camera, LiDAR).
• Experience with real-time algorithm development for vehicle or chassis actuation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement architecture, network connectivity, and interfaces for test vehicles; manage ego vehicle builds and maintenance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve MIL/SIL simulation environments and models.
• Design, implement, and evaluate ECU/actuator/sensing algorithms embedded in the vehicle.
• Plan experiments, analyze data, and document findings in technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design software-defined mobility solutions.
