Job summary
Astemo, Ltd. seeks a senior engineer to lead the development, testing, and evaluation of vehicle control systems and test vehicles at our Michigan facility.
You will design architectures, implement ECU/actuator algorithms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software-defined mobility solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Travel domestically and internationally for reviews and testing; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience with Master’s degree and Minimum 7 years with Bachelor’s degree.
- Exposure to Automotive engineering and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of ADAS sensor and control function is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop development masterplan aligned with corporate objectives.
- Design architecture and communication for test vehicles; maintain vehicles and reports.
- Design, implement, and evaluate ECU/actuator algorithms; perform experiments and analyze data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software-defined mobility solutions.
- Create design specs, technical documentation, and best practice guides.
- Travel domestically and internationally for product reviews and testing.
