Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking an embedded tutor to support learners in college courses. You will guide students to build independent learning skills and maintain clear documentation while coordinating with faculty and the Tutoring Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities include tutoring in targeted courses, attending trainings, and promoting campus resources. Flexibility and adherence to college policies are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to work with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Interest in ongoing professional development.
• Having taken the specific course or equivalent coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes as needed for RTV 1006/RTV 2003 and assist students.
• Arrive early/late to support students with their work.
• Provide individual/group tutoring per request.
• Be observed by department chair once per semester.
• Complete a written timesheet for Perkins Grant.
