Job summary

Tulsa Community College is seeking an Embedded Tutor to support student success by providing targeted academic assistance within specific courses. You will attend classes, facilitate study groups, and offer one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring aligned with course objectives, under the supervision of Tutoring Center Coordinators.

You will collaborate with faculty, maintain records of sessions, participate in ongoing training, and help students develop independent learning strategies in the tutoring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate or college/technical training related to embedded tutoring is required.
• Six months tutoring or mentoring experience is expected.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students for at least one year.
• Six months experience working in tutoring or learning centers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend assigned class sessions to support students in real time.
• Provide tutoring during and outside of class hours in Tutoring Centers.
• Collaborate with faculty to align tutoring with course content and outcomes.
• Facilitate study sessions and review activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.
• Participate in training, team meetings and professional development.
