Job summary

Illinois Central College in East Peoria is seeking a PT Coordinator for Embedded Course Support (ECS). The coordinator will manage day-to-day ECS operations, coordinate SI, peer tutors, and embedded tutoring, and support recruitment and training of staff to deliver course-based academic support.

Under the Academic Support Center Manager, the role focuses on facilitating tutoring sessions, tracking student engagement, collecting data, and reporting outcomes to enhance persistence and retention

Qualifications

• Associate degree in education or related field with two years of experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, LMS, and scheduling platforms.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of SI, embedded tutoring, and peer-led learning.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and programmatic coordination for Embedded Course Support (ECS), including Supplemental Instruction (SI), embedded tutoring, peer-led learning, and other course-based academic support initiatives.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and monitoring of embedded support staff.
• Coordinate assignment of peer and embedded tutors to course sections and facilitate SI sessions, tutorials, and room scheduling.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty requests, student referrals, tutor needs, course assignments, and program logistics.
• Coordinate training, workshops, and small-group learning activities related to embedded support initiatives.
• Collect and report data on student participation, engagement, and outcomes for ECS initiatives.
