Job summary

UW-Superior on campus is seeking Embedded Tutors to reinforce course concepts, provide one-on-one support, and host study sessions. You will attend classes, tutor outside of class, and help students develop independent learning strategies to persist toward their academic goals.

Responsibilities include collaborating with instructors, building rapport with students, and modeling effective study techniques like note-taking and time management. Start date: Spring 2027.

Qualifications

• Tutoring experience or willingness to tutor a range of subjects.
• Strong communication and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to guide independent problem solving and study strategies.

Responsibilities

• Attend all assigned class sessions to stay aligned with content and expectations.
• Build rapport with students and encourage participation in tutoring.
• Collaborate with the course instructor to identify topics needing support.
• Offer tutoring sessions outside class to reinforce concepts and skills.
• Assist during class activities by guiding practice problems and discussions.
• Model note-taking, time management, and test preparation strategies.
