Job summary

TetraMem is hiring an embedded software engineer in San Jose to design, develop, and test firmware and drivers for advanced in-memory computing hardware. The role involves working closely with hardware and design teams to ensure robust embedded system functionality and performance benchmarks.

The candidate should have strong C/C++ skills, Python and MATLAB experience, and familiarity with SPI/I2C/UART, DMA, and interrupts. A degree in electrical or computer engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE or related field.
• Strong embedded C/C++ programming skills.
• Python and MATLAB for test automation and analysis.
• Familiarity with SPI/I2C/UART, GPIO, DMA/interrupt handling.
• Experience with microcontrollers (MCU) or FPGA.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA/Bugzilla).

Responsibilities

• Test and silicon debug, including writing testing code and platform setup.
• Develop and maintain embedded software (drivers and application code).
• Define test scenarios for functional testing of firmware and hardware interfaces.
• Contribute to test methodology and hardware testing workflows.
• Analyze signal integrity, power, and other design issues.
• Record results and log defects in tracking systems.
• Reproduce and isolate issues in embedded systems and document fixes.
• Collaborate with hardware and design teams to verify features.
• Assist with product demo setup and showroom benchmarks.
• Hardware development on circuit boards, systems, and user interfaces.
