Job summary

PassiveLogic is building the first fully autonomous platform for buildings in Salt Lake City. As an Electrical Test Systems Engineer, you will verify and validate low-power sensors, AI-driven controllers, and other hardware across operational regimes.

You will design test fixtures, test software, and instrumentation, collaborating with engineering teams to improve reliability and deployment of Hive, Cell, and Sense products.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field.
• 3+ years experience in a test or design focused role.
• Ability to independently architect, design, and build custom hardware/software test systems.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a hardware lab environment, including wiring, soldering, rework, instrumentation, and debugging prototype electrical systems.
• Previous Python test script design, coding, debugging and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of test methods, appropriate levels of test, test techniques, statistics, and data analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and build custom hardware/software test fixtures and systems that electrically stimulate, measure, orchestrate, and validate PassiveLogic Hive, Cell, and Sense product families.
• Test, report bugs, and debug mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software problems alongside our development teams.
• Evangelize new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through both manual and automated processes.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test, bringup, and deployment of our Autonomous Platform for Buildings.
