Formlabs, a leading 3D printing technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Software Intern in Somerville, MA. You will develop critical software tools that bridge hardware and software for professional 3D printer development, working at the intersection of embedded systems, robotics, and manufacturing automation.

You will build tools for calibration, validation and testing of electromechanical systems, collaborating across hardware, mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Experience developing applications with Python, SQL and Linux.
• Strong understanding of software integration with embedded and electromechanical systems engineering.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex real-world problems.
• Experience taking features from concept through design and implementation.
• Experience with robotics and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software tools for calibration, validation and testing of electromechanical and robotic systems.
• Manage requirements and collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to deliver testing solutions on schedule.
• Perform hardware modifications to printers and test setups to support experimental processes.
• Own the full lifecycle of test tools, including design, validation, documentation, deployment and maintenance.
• Analyze production line data using data science techniques to provide operational insights.
