Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the Embedded team. You will help design and ship firmware that tightly couples software with hardware across Formlabs devices, focusing on maintainability, testing, and reusability.

You’ll work with C/C++, Python, and Embedded Linux, with occasional JavaScript, in an agile, on-site Somerville, MA environment. Equity, healthcare, 401K, and generous time-off are among the perks.

Qualifications

• Experience writing code on hardware products in consumer, medical, defense, or industrial spaces.
• Proficiency with modern embedded languages (C, C++, Python) and embedded Linux.
• Ability to implement common embedded software architecture patterns and debug complex hardware/software interactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers.
• Design, build, test and ship code for new printer features across Formlabs devices.
• Ensure code re-use with maintainability, testing, and CI.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to build features for customers.
• Work onsite in Somerville, MA in a product-focused, agile environment.
