Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a hardware-in-the-loop/software validation engineer in the United States for embedded ECUs. The role focuses on validating HIL/SIL, developing automated test scripts in Python and using dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/J1939, and Vector tools.

Collaboration with software, controls, and validation teams is essential to ensure quality and performance. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–4 years of experience in embedded software or ECU validation.

• Execute HIL/SIL validation testing for embedded software and ECU systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and validation tools.
• Configure and troubleshoot dSPACE, Vector, and embedded test environments.
• Perform software/hardware verification, defect analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Support embedded controls testing with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development tools.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN/J1939 and diagnostics testing.
• Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in Embedded Software, HIL/SIL Testing, or ECU Validation.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• HIL/SIL Validation & Testing.
• dSPACE and MATLAB/Simulink expertise.
• Python and C++ test automation.
• ECU integration, verification, and debugging.
• CAN/J1939 protocols and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer).
• Embedded software testing and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot hardware.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and test automation frameworks.
