Job summary

Technology Service Corporation seeks a Software System Test Engineer to join our Product Solutions team across Aurora, CO; Huntsville, AL; Arlington, VA; or Bedminster, NJ. You will develop and maintain automated/instrumented test frameworks for embedded software and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate quality and performance.

The role requires 5–7 years of software/system testing experience in embedded environments, Linux familiarity, and strong scripting in Python/Bash.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in software/system testing, preferably for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in developing and executing system test cases for embedded software.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network testing.
• Proficient in test automation using scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Proficient in Git source control and CI workflows.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for embedded software.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to define test requirements and strategies.
• Perform integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and drive resolution with development teams.
• Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results for internal and customer deliverables.
• Support software release management by validating deliverables and ensuring quality standards.
• Utilize scripting tools (Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
