Job summary

TSC is seeking a Software System Test Engineer for our Product Solutions team in Aurora, CO (also at Huntsville, AL; Arlington, VA; and Bedminster, NJ). The role focuses on building and running automated and manual test suites for embedded software, collaborating with software and hardware teams to ensure robust test coverage, and driving quality across releases.

Qualified candidates have a BS in a related field and 5–7 years of embedded testing experience, Linux familiarity, IP networking

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software/system testing, preferably for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in developing and executing system test cases for embedded software.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network communication testing.
• Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals and protocol testing/debugging.
• Proficient in test automation using scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Proficient in Git source control and CI workflows.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for embedded software.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to define test requirements and strategies.
• Perform integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and drive resolution with development teams.
• Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results for internal and customer deliverables.
• Support software release management by validating deliverables and ensuring quality standards.
• Utilize scripting tools (Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
