Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. You will work on embedded firmware/software for ocean systems, prototyping across disciplines and delivering robust product demonstrations.

The role requires deep experience in firmware/software design, Yocto/Buildroot, and ROS 2, with a focus on maintainability and collaboration within a mid-sized team.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or STEM field.
• 5+ years in development for embedded firmware/software platforms.
• Experience with Linux applications and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to identify firmware and software requirements for embedded systems.
• Architect maintainable firmware and software platforms and test processes.
• Implement, test, integrate, and verify firmware/software per project requirements.
• Develop and maintain engineering docs (ICD, SRS).
• Communicate across engineering to coordinate efforts.
