Allient Milwaukee | TCI Embedded Software Engineering Internship is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to support development and testing of embedded controls and desktop software used in harmonic filter product lines. Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering for the entire duration of the internship.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Basic programming experience in C, C++, C#, Python, or another modern language.
• Basic understanding of digital electronics, microcontrollers, or computer architecture.
• Basic exposure to Embedded C Programming.
• Willingness to work hands-on hardware/software development.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• C code development for 32-bit DSPs.
• C# desktop application development.
• Development of automation scripts for bench testing.
• Development of C unit-testing code.
• Validation testing of software changes.
• Implementing new software features and enhancing existing ones.
• Track and document issues in an issue tracker system.
• Support production with live debugging testing.
• Learn to operate power lab equipment safely.
