Job summary

HEPCO Inc. is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support real-time embedded software and hardware integration on combat vehicle systems in Sterling Heights, MI.

You will work with Linux software integration, networking, scripting, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and verification testing. Responsibilities include building/testbeds, integrating software on Red Hat Linux, testing with Ethernet/CAN, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues while supporting security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Relevant internship experience.
• Experience integrating software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux with RPM packaging and libraries.
• Ability to build and maintain software/hardware integration testbeds.
• Understanding Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Familiarity with Git and Jira/GitLab configuration management tools.
• Strong problem-solving and customer collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and test software on Red Hat Linux and hardware in combat vehicle systems.
• Build and maintain software/hardware integration testbeds.
• Test using Ethernet and CAN bus protocols and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze data and verify functionality.
• Support scripting, cybersecurity hardening, and software verification testing.
