Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to plan and perform integration and testing of real-time embedded software on Linux in combat vehicle systems. You will collaborate with hardware teams, verify software on Red Hat, and ensure security hardening and data analysis support.

The role requires strong communication, ability to travel to customer sites, and a STEM bachelor’s degree with hands-on experience in software packaging and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field.
• Experience integrating software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Packaging software as RPMs and binary executables.
• Drivers, shared objects, and static libraries.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Integrates and tests software on Red Hat Linux and hardware in a combat vehicle system.
• Applies Ethernet and CAN bus knowledge to test and troubleshoot.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues and analyze data.
• Ensures alignment with engineering principles and customer requirements.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and support on-site testing.
