Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV is offering a 12-week, paid Field Applications Engineering Intern program in the United States. You will be embedded in the FAEs team, mentored by an experienced FAE, and work on real customer projects to translate requirements into NXP-based solutions.

Responsibilities include supporting evaluations, design reviews, and lab validation, plus hands-on work with embedded systems, development boards, and reference designs under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Rising junior, senior, or graduate student—expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available for intern roles).
• Availability for 12 weeks full-time during Summer 2027 (May–August).
• Preferred coursework in embedded systems, circuits, computer architecture, microcontrollers, wireless, or semiconductor applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced FAEs to understand customer requirements and help select NXP MCU/MPU/connectivity/analog/edge-processing solutions.
• Support technical customer meetings, design reviews, product evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, and demonstrations.
• Help analyze customer issues, reproduce problems, document findings, and contribute to action plans.
