Job summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering is seeking an Engineer - Software & Electronics to support embedded software/hardware for operations, R&D, and manufacturing, ensuring uptime and reliability.

You will work across Pfeiffer Vacuum groups to align with platforms, develop test benches, and troubleshoot both existing and new products, including hands‑on repair and documentation. Candidates should have strong programming in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, and experience with PLC and control systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software and electronics development.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with software/hardware development lifecycle.
• Experience with lab equipment and testing.

Responsibilities

• Validate, document, and manage software, firmware, hardware, and test equipment.
• Interface with engineering, product management, operations, and supply chain.
• Provide remote and on‑site troubleshooting for products.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and test benches.
• Contribute to lifecycle from concept through release.
