Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the US to design, build, and scale the connected hardware powering the Energy Network. This hands-on role spans embedded systems, networking, device security, and fleet connectivity from prototype through deployment, contributing to secure provisioning and robust telemetry across a growing fleet.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building connected embedded products or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems with RTOS exposure (Zephyr/FreeRTOS).
• Experience with Python for testing, tooling or automation.
• Solid understanding of device connectivity and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with secure device communications (TLS) and provisioning workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain connectivity across Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and BLE.
• Build and optimise secure, reliable device messaging using MQTT/CoAP/HTTP/WebSockets.
• Support time synchronization with NTP/PTP and secure boot features.
• Assist with OTA update pipelines and secure provisioning.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and backend teams for production readiness.
