Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced software, electrical, or firmware engineer to contribute to embedded system development within the Signal Technology - Mixed Signal unit. You will work on state-of-the-art components, developing drivers, applications, and tests in a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes C programming expertise, low-level embedded work, and close collaboration with hardware, firmware, and design teams to deliver high-quality data acquisition products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of related work experience.
• Proficient in C programming and low-level/embedded development.
• Experience with systems from documentation, block diagrams, electrical schematics, and source code.
• Experience with real-time systems including hardware-driven DMAs, FIFOs and circular buffers.
• Experience troubleshooting with oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and signal generator.
• Experience with basic signals/systems theory.
• Familiar with software engineering tools and practices like source control, unit testing, build automation, continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• Create software drivers, applications, and technical documentation for data acquisition hardware.
• Collaborate with design team to bring-up and test hardware products.
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers to identify, diagnose, and fix technical problems.
• Build automated tests that ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Work directly with customers to help them integrate hardware and software products.
• Support verification team in developing device verification tests.
• Communicate project status and risks to management.
