Job summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking Engineering Interns for 2026 in Syracuse, NY. Work on embedded systems for ISR applications, with design and analysis of microcontrollers, FPGAs, SoCs and MPSoCs. U.S. citizenship is required.

Interns will participate in all stages of R&D and product development projects, collaborating across disciplines to deliver advanced electrical and hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering Intern 2 requires progress toward a Bachelor's degree (20–40%).
• Engineering Intern 3 requires 40–60% of credits toward a Bachelor's degree.
• Engineering Intern 4 requires more than 60% of degree credits completed.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, development, and testing of complex electrical products or systems.
• Conduct prototype development activities to ensure specifications and milestones are met.
• Promote effective design and development processes and ensure optimal performance.
• Create electrical/electronic schematics and PCBAs.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on system and board level design.
