Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled security systems programmer to support Lenel and C-Cure across a nationwide portfolio. You will work with field technicians to troubleshoot, document, and commission new and existing equipment, while coordinating with IT, networks, and operations teams to maintain access control systems at hundreds of sites.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, advanced computer skills, and experience with security software, video systems, and remote support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Lenel Software Certification and 2+ years of programming experience preferred.
• Field technician background and security systems experience preferred.
• IT experience with PC support, networking, servers and cloud computing is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming support for Lenel, C-Cure and other card access software across 5,000+ sites in the US and Canada.
• Troubleshoot, document, and commission security equipment with field technicians.
• Manage security projects from concept through design, implementation and closeout.
• Configure and support security systems including databases, software, OS, reports, badges and biometrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain access control systems across locations.
• Support IT functionality through coordination with internal and external IT/network providers.
• Support video, intercom, panic and other security systems.

Job description

• Provide programming support for Lenel, C-Cure and other card access software supporting 5,000+ sites in the US and Canada
• Work with field technicians to troubleshoot, document and commission new and existing security equipment
• Manage security projects from concept through design, implementation and closeout
• Configure and support security systems, including databases, application software, operating systems, features, functionality, reports, badges and biometrics
• Assist and advise field technical personnel on system response and operational theory
• Coordinate with Badging, Network, IT Services/Hardware, Server Support, Budgets, Projects and Operations teams to maintain access control systems
• Support IT functionality through coordination with internal and external IT/network providers
• Support video, intercom, panic and other security systems
• Perform monthly and regularly scheduled maintenance for Windows updates and firmware
• Use remote desktop and other support software to connect to remote hardware
• Satisfy customer requirements through coordination of National Projects across all time zones
• Support numerous initiatives throughout the Centralized Services business

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Lenel software certification and 2 years+ programming experience
• Preferred: Field Technician background
• Preferred: Programming experience in access control, video, or intrusion
• Preferred: Manufacturer certifications in Lenel, Software House, Avigilon or other security systems
• Preferred: IT experience with PC support, networking, server, cloud and/or coding work
• Highly motivated
• Ability to act in an autonomous role with little supervision
• Advanced computer skills with PC hardware, software, networking, databases, servers, basic coding and cloud computing
