Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Linthicum, MD seeks an Embedded Space Software Engineering Manager to oversee the software lifecycle for embedded real-time systems. You will lead a matrixed software team, drive agile processes, and support system integration and test to deliver secure capabilities.

The role requires clearances, strong leadership, and collaboration with proposal and staffing activities in a 9/80 schedule, onsite only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/Software Eng or related STEM with 5+ years in embedded real-time systems, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience leading a software development team and guiding Agile roadmaps.
• Experience with C++ or Python and embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight across the software lifecycle for embedded real-time systems.
• Lead a matrixed team of software engineers and guide career development.
• Participate in proposal generation, staffing, and budget/schedule management.
