Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Linthicum, MD seeks an Embedded Space Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team through design, development, integration, and tests of embedded real-time software.

You will drive Agile roadmaps, coordinate staffing, and ensure execution of programs while guiding career development and maintaining high standards across the software lifecycle; TS/SCI eligibility is preferred for certain programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years embedded real-time software experience or Master's with 3 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Experience in C++ or Python development.
• Experience leading a software development team and driving Agile roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight through the full software lifecycle (design, development, integration, and maintenance).
• Lead and guide a matrixed team of software engineers, including career development and performance reviews.
• Contribute to proposal generation, staffing allocations, and program execution.
• Ensure adherence to standards, processes, and tools throughout the SDLC for programs.
