Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Software Manager to lead embedded software teams across Launch Systems programs. You will oversee a team of about 10–15 engineers, focusing on execution, staffing, and technical delivery for embedded, real-time, and mission-critical applications.

The role blends management with hands-on technical work in a 100% onsite environment. You will partner with Systems, Electrical, GN&C, and program leadership to resolve staffing and execution

Qualifikationen

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years.
Experience leading embedded software teams in defense or aerospace.
Proficiency in C/C++ and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Experience with embedded software development lifecycle and delivery.
Demonstrated people leadership, staffing, and mentoring.

Aufgaben

Maintain staffing alignment and development for the software teams across programs.
Provide performance management, coaching, and mentoring in line with reviews.
Develop and refine software engineering processes and standards for embedded work.
Lead software lifecycle activities from requirements to delivery and sustainment.
Coordinate with Systems/Electrical Engineering and other partners on technical issues.
Balance management duties with hands-on execution support as needed.
