Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a hands-on Sourcing Specialist to act as an embedded partner for business teams, guiding purchases from requirements through contracting and approval readiness.

You will collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, and suppliers to resolve issues, maintain accurate records, and drive timely commercial decisions in a fast-moving environment. Based in San Francisco, you’ll manage quotes and leverage playbooks to accelerate cycles with automation where possible.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in procurement coordination, sourcing support, purchasing operations, AP/finance ops, or supply chain support.
• Experience in data-center, colocation, telecom/network or compute-hardware procurement.
• Understanding of contract and SOW fundamentals, including deliverables, acceptance criteria, service levels, and change control.
• Experience with procurement systems (Zip, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Coupa, Ariba) and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the embedded sourcing partner to business teams, clarifying purchase needs and driving requests through commercial review, contracting, and approval readiness.
• Review requirements, supplier selection, quotes, pricing benchmarks, and total cost for low-complexity purchases; document recommendations.
• Coordinate contracts, amendments, and SOWs through approved templates and workflows; align milestones and payment schedules with legal and business partners.
• Maintain accurate supplier, commercial, and contract records in Zip and related systems.
• Promote standardization and efficiency by identifying opportunities to consolidate purchases and accelerate cycles.
