Job summary

Alstom is seeking a passionate Software Verification and Validation Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA to ensure the reliability and safety of complex embedded systems. You will design, test, and validate software powering sustainable mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; Open to New Grads.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, especially embedded systems (Linux, RTOS, Windows).
• Experience with scripting (Python or similar).
• Ability to identify and resolve software defects effectively.
• Strong analytical mindset for root cause analysis and defect prevention.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Driving the software quality assurance lifecycle within an agile process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure software quality.
• Design and implement test plans and test cases.
• Develop and execute automated UI and functional tests.
• Drive innovation by implementing model-based testing and CI frameworks.
• Promote knowledge sharing by documenting best practices.
