Job summary

Alstom in Pittsburgh seeks a Project V&V Designer to lead verification, integration and testing across major developments. You will define V&V strategy, execute system verification, and collaborate with design teams to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met.

You will work with V&V leads to shape plans, prepare training, and drive continuous improvement while interfacing with customers and partners on progress and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with DOORS, RQM and RTC preferred.
• Background in railway signalling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take part in major developments and verify design through verification, integration and test activities.
• Detail and perform in-house V&V activities and coordinate with Test & Commissioning for integration.
• Agree strategy, scheduling and budget with the V&V Manager and report progress.
• Define verification methodology to support project deliverables.
• Contribute to the Project V&V plan and implement related activities.
• Define test plans and descriptions, and execute V&V plans.
• Perform verification, integration and test and share results with Safety team.
• Specify, procure and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation.
• Represent Alstom to customers/partners and communicate progress and risks.
• Maintain KPIs and drive continuous improvement in V&V.
