Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer/mechanical/ software engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years in embedded controls in at least three areas (e.g., hardware design, software, calibration, testing).
• Strong initiative, planning, problem solving, and teamwork with cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven root cause analysis experience.
• Understanding of HIL bench testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute ideas to a culture that experiments with new ways of working and collaborating with product engineering and vehicle manufacturing.
• Ensure product development and release plans align with engineering standard work for on-time delivery of VMEC embedded control products.
• Manage part number proliferation for embedded controller components (end model part number, software, calibration parts).
• Track and report status of work; escalate issues and drive mitigations for timing or quality risk.
• Lead product issue investigations and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Support meetings related to responsibilities (Software Execution Team, agile ceremonies).
• Provide technical leadership and direction for products of responsibility.
• Train, coach, mentor team members in areas of strong proficiency.
