Formlabs in Somerville, MA, is seeking an Embedded Software Intern for Winter/Spring. Onsite full-time role focusing on firmware development for 3D printers, collaborating with engineers to enhance product experiences.

3D printing requires a complex interplay of software, hardware, and electronics – our embedded engineers are the critical component that ties these teams together. You’ll work closely with electrical engineers, systems engineers, and the rest of our software team to build, shape, and define our embedded systems.

“Day in the life” of the Embedded Software team here at HQ Somerville consists of writing code and tests (mostly in C++) for new features for our printers, as well as testing software‑hardware integration by working hands‑on with hardware. You will be part of a team writing software that is used by thousands of customers of Formlabs printers
This role does not require previous 3D printing experience, but you should want to learn and do it!

Interns at Formlabs are paid on a bi‑weekly pay schedule. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full‑time intern. This position does not offer housing or relocation assistance.The bi‑weekly pay range for this role is:$3,700—$4,500 USD
