Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to design, prototype, and validate electronics and electromechanical subsystems. You will work hands-on with microcontrollers, sensors, and PCBs, coding in C and Python, and contribute to real products shipped to customers.
This full-time Winter/Spring 2027 internship is onsite in Somerville, MA. A portfolio of your previous engineering work is required for consideration; housing or relocation assistance are not provided.

3D printing requires a complex interplay of software, hardware, and electronics. Working on our Electrical Engineering team, you’ll get to do it all! From designing and building your own boards, to hacking on firmware, to finding your own elegant solutions to problems on real products that will ship to real customers. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will be working hands‑on with various types of hardware.

Internship Term: Winter/Spring 2027 (January - May)

Compensation
Interns at Formlabs are paid on a bi‑weekly pay schedule. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full‑time intern. This position does not offer housing or relocation assistance.
The weekly pay range for this role is: $1,575 – $1,950 USD
