Job summary

ViaSat is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement software for encrypted communications systems. You will collaborate with systems, test, and hardware engineers to develop and certify encryption capabilities for government enterprise networks.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field, 5+ years of embedded C/C++ experience, 2+ years Linux experience, and a U.S. security clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Job description

Design and implement embedded software for encrypted communications systems, including high-speed network encryptors and embedded cryptographic devices. Collaborate with systems, test, and hardware engineers to develop, test, and certify next-generation encryption capabilities for government enterprise networks.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, at least five years of embedded C/C++ software experience, and at least two years using Linux. Candidates must have Rust experience, TCP/IP and object-oriented development knowledge, Agile Scrum and CI/CD experience, U.S. citizenship, and an active Secret or higher security clearance; travel up to 10% may be required.
